Payments - Beyond Life and Death?

I recently spoke at the excellent Forum Oxford meeting up at Oxford University and whilst I was preparing the presentation, I had a couple of thoughts that stopped me in my tracks....

The first is that payments = the entire World GDP as every single transaction has to involve some form of payment - No wonder their are so many players in the industry!

The second was that every single person on the planet is directly involved in the business of payments from the minute their mothers become aware of their existence and start buying baby clothes and nappies on their behalf until beyond death (most people arrange to leave a sum of money to pay for their funeral)....
