Direct Channel Top-up

Mi-Pay offers a complete service for mobile operators wishing to reduce the costs of managing their prepaid topup and bill payment services. Mi-Pay delivers both business and technical operations covering all direct channel topups including web, IVR, SMS, Java client and ATM through to the payments and settlement with the bank. Mi-Pay also provides a portal for the consumer to manage their own and others pre-pay accounts from either the web or their mobile handset. They can review all their transactions, add/change payment/personal details and many other actions all designed to offer a superior customer experience whilst lowering support costs.

Mi-Pay’s comprehensive fraud screening services is included as part of the solution and in some markets, Mi-Pay offers a fully indemnified service against all fraud and bad debt.

Mobile Agents

In many countries across the World, consumers do not have ready access to banking and other financial services. Mi-Pay enables these services to be delivered to consumers in these cash-based economies through a network of local agents equipped with mobile phones containing a simple to use application. These agents accept cash from consumers, and deposit it in stored value accounts. The agents can then make transfers or bill payments on behalf of consumers to other recipients, or the consumer can use their own mobile phone to interact directly with their own funds. Recipients are automatically notified when they receive funds, and visit agents to collect cash. Agents benefit from commissions payable every time they undertake a transaction on behalf of a consumer.

International Airtime

Mi-Pay's GlobalTopup™ service is an international airtime recharge service supplied on a "white label" basis to mobile phone operators, MVNO's and others, enabling consumers in one country to purchase and transfer value as airtime directly onto family and friends prepaid mobile phones. Senders register for the service online or through the clients contact centre and make payment through card, bank account or as cash paid to a local agent. This service supports multiple denominations and currencies and is already used by a number of international mobile phone operators as a "sticky" revenue earning service that is particularly attractive to migrant workers and those with relatives and friends overseas.
